When Fall rolls around, I find myself trying to hold on way too hard to Summer to get my life together to start planning Halloween any sooner than October 19th. I published my last post on the exact same day last year so clearly, me being last minute is a trend. BUT I can’t be the only one so if you’re like me and you still need something simple for your upcoming Halloween shenanigans, I got you! Pick your plus size DIY Halloween costumes from this roundup.
When I am brainstorming simple plus size Halloween costumes, I always think about what I already own and I go from there. I rarely buy pre-made costumes for this reason because there’s a chance I can pull something together with what I have but a pre-made costume isn’t a bad idea either! It all depends on your budget and your comfort level getting into a little DIY!
This year, I had a few costume ideas floating in my head but this costume came about when I first saw that this came in my size! I wore boots using I already owned and three new pieces. I feel like the tights and the dress I would totally wear again as just like a casual goth look and the bat ears were worth it for the costume alone (plus they were on sale).
The beauty of this costume for me was all in the details! It was pretty easy to create and cost less than $50. If bats aren’t your thing (trust me, they aren’t mine either but I make a cute one anyways!), I have some other simple plus size Halloween costumes listed below for you to try. This post contains some affiliate links and I’ll earn a small commission if you shop through them. This is one of the ways I can continue to bring you amazing content.
