Have you ever put on a new bra and just instantly felt a change in your mood? For me, have that affect. I get a new boost plunge Cacique bra every few months and this classic style mixes comfort with support. For as frequently as I buy Lane Bryant Cacique bras, I don’t get bra fittings quite as often. Lane Bryant recommends getting a bra fitting every six months because breast shape can change. I knew whatever size I measured, Lane Bryant would have it! carries 86 sizes which includes band sizes 32-50 and cup sizes A-K!
In order to ensure I was getting the best possible fit, I traveled to the Lane Bryant store at Belden Village Mall for a bra fitting. Each Cacique Master Fitter has to complete 100 fittings in order to be certified so you can trust that they know a thing or two about how a plus size bra should fit. My Master Fitter not only measured me but she also gave me recommendations for my breast shape. I tried a t-shirt bra, a wire-free push-up bra, a balconette, a lounge bra and of course, the Boost Plunge bra in my new size.
The Lane Bryant Cacique Bra Try-On
During my plus size bra fitting, I learned that spillage is a sign that the bra does not fit. The middle part or the gore should sit comfortably on your sternum. Your straps should NOT be digging into your shoulders. I thought some of these fit issues were normal, not red flags! As plus size women, we might be used to wearing bras that are too tight. It’s so rare that stores carry our size. I loved being able to try on the same bra in three different sizes. It was nice that I didn’t have to worry if I would size out of the options. Lane Bryant Cacique Bras are made for a wide range of body types.
After trying on so many different Lane Bryant Cacique bras, I ultimately went home with two styles including the I know and love. Although I have this bra already, I learned that I was not wearing the right size so I did switch sizes from a 40DD to a 42DD. I like wearing the Boost Plunge because of how it looks underneath my clothes. Since I was already at Lane Bryant, I took the opportunity to try on a ton of new arrivals including a few pieces from the collection.

I loved a lot of what I tried on at Lane Bryant. The Boost Plunge Bra looked amazing with everything from a basic t-shirt to a fancy wrap dress. This plus size leopard print dress was a bit big in the bust area. With the Boost Plunge Bra underneath, I still felt supported.
I love that this plus size leopard print dress has pockets. It’s also fully lined. The back has elastic which makes for a more comfortable fit. The button-front gives it a ’90s vibe. I styled it with red pumps and heart-shaped sunnies but I could have easily opted for a chunky heeled bootie and moto jacket for a more grunge look.
I went home with two looks – the one you can see below and one that I’ll be wearing on April 6 at The Perfect Fitting Bra Event that I am hosting at the Belden Village Mall Lane Bryant store from 2-4 PM. There will be Master Fitters on hand to help you see if you are wearing the right size and I will be there for selfies, styling advice and more! There will exclusive giveaways from 3-4 PM that you will NOT want to miss.
