I have been traveling an exceptional amount lately and for that I am extremely grateful. My dream is be traveling more than I am home but what I have learned is that traveling so much (especially for business) presents its own challenges. That's where discovering a travel style that is capable of transitional from comfy cute to totally turned up is so important for me.

In collaboration with On The Plus Side, where I write as an expert, I am sharing my tips for plus size travel style. I recently traveled to Atlanta for the TCF Style Expo and I made the mistake on the way there of dressing super casual in a t-shirt and jean shorts. Of course, as soon as I arrived, I ran into a stylist who recognized me for my blog and while I don't have a problem with dressing casual, that particular outfit was not a reflection of my personal style.

On the ride home, I selected my outfit wisely and wore the Fiera Tunic and Capri Leggings both from On The Plus Side (formerly Making It Big). Both items are available up to a 7X! I am wearing a 1X in the tunic and a 2X in the leggings. I have owned a million pairs of black leggings in my life and these are one of the best fitting pairs I've ever worn. The fabric is substantial but not too thick and they didn't get too baggy in the crotch or waist.

So often now when I travel, I don't have a chance to change before heading onto my next adventure and in this case, I had a date after I landed. To transition this look to evening, I packed light pink pumps and a gold chain belt in my carry on so I could easily change in the car.

I'm sharing more of my tips for transitional travel style over at On The Plus Side so make sure you head there for more!
