Whenever I meet people who follow me online, they always ask, 'where do you live?' and it's not like I'm purposefully not claiming Cleveland but there's not too much going on here that makes it on my blog. Cleveland is not the place I thought I would be in my late 20s. I grew up here and I moved to Chicago at the age of 18 with hopes of never coming back. But when I needed a place to recharge after working multiple jobs and running Ready to Stare, Cleveland seemed like a good option. I'm still adjusting to living here. The recent Cavs championship didn't hurt but it still doesn't feel like home. And that's why travel remains such a huge part of my life and my career.

Earlier this month, my travels took me to New York for Full Figured Fashion Week and CurvyCon! I've been to New York what feels like a million times but this was my first time going to either of those plus size focused events. I had the opportunity to attend CurvyCon as the brand ambassador for Curvy Couture which has become my go-to for foundation pieces and everyday lingerie. The event not only allowed me to introduce people to Curvy Couture but it gave me a chance to connect with some of my blogger boos IRL!

The five days that I was there went by so fast that I didn't have a chance to snap any outfit photos until the last day. My girl Sabrina from the Lifetime show, Big Women Big Love and I stayed together and our hotel just happened to be across from the pop art LOVE sculpture. It made for the perfect backdrop for the brief time we were able to push tourists out of the way.

This skirt is from BGU Concepts and although I wasn't there, they absolutely killed it on the FFFWeek runway. This skirt is SO me and I can't wait to see what else they come out with.
