Plus Size Travel: Girl's Night Out in Anaheim

Today is the last edition of what Marcy and I are now calling our Best Fat Life Travel Series. In our first three posts, we conquer Marcy's first bikini shoot at the beach, my fear of driving, and shared our three must-see spots in LA. We set out to challenge ourselves to try new things. Fat girls can travel and wear whatever they want while doing it!
Throughout our trip, we made plans but we also learned to go with the flow. There's a lot of magic that happens when you take time to explore and that exploration brought us to Anaheim where we met up with fellow plus size blogger, Veronica Cid of Cid Style File.

Before the trip, Marcy and I both picked out Lane Bryant dresses that could transition from day to night because we knew we would be on the go so much.  She went for this amazing tie-dye maxi and I opted for a black midi dress with a crochet hem. Since we weren't sure of what the evening would bring, we needed to be cute and comfortable. These dresses delivered.

Veronica totally delivered on a new adventure also. She suggested we go to dinner in her hood, Anaheim, and we were not disappointed. We had dinner at the Anaheim Packing District. It was sensory overload, in the very best way possible.

Anaheim Packing District was like a high end cafeteria equipped with greenery, tall slides and all kinds of innovative culinary concoctions. There's every kind of food you can imagine represented and presented in a fun, upbeat environment.

I am grateful that we had a local like Veronica to get us out of the LA bubble and down to Anaheim to try something we probably wouldn't have found on our own. It's a good travel lesson to keep in mind: do your research but leave time to explore where the locals eat!
