Today's #StareStyle is special because it features plus size statement pieces from Fashionable Addictions, one of the very first boutiques that ever carried Ready to Stare merchandise. When I first started to Ready to Stare more than four years ago, there was definitely no #StareStyle. I was very much behind the scenes. I wanted so badly to have a place in fashion even though I was still unsure about my right to be there.
When Chicago stylist Aaja Corinne first introduced me to Dannie at Fashionable Addictions in the spring of 2012, I was instantly impressed with her business savvy. I knew I still had a lot to learn about running a business but right from the beginning she believed in me and my vision as a designer. She took Ready to Stare on as a retailer and my pieces have been carried in her store ever since.
Through the years, both Fashionable Addictions and I have grown and I was so excited to partner with them again; this time as a blogger. Ready to Stare has always been a fit at Fashionable Addictions because we are both not afraid of pieces that will make you stand out. And when I snapped these photos around Cleveland, people were definitely staring and I was literally stopping traffic. I think it's safe to say that I'm addicted to Fashionable Addictions. Check out my spring picks below!

1. Desire

I have a definite weakness for polka dots but I usually stick to black and white. The Polka Desire dress from Fashionable Addictions showed me that I need to expand my polka dot addiction across the color spectrum. This dress is a vibrant coral color that I really love. And between the high-low cut, bow at the neck and puff shoulders, this dress was full of drama all on its own outside the print and the color. I paired it with thick frame shades from Ready to Stare.

2. Reign

Reign from Fashionable Addictions is part romper and part dress and I felt like goddamn superhero in it. It's got a great amount of stretch and features a front zipper so getting in and out of it was easier than the average romper or jumpsuit even though, this piece is far from average. I would've likely paired it with heels anyways but one thing I did notice is that it was too long for someone my height to wear with flats. I'm 5'1" for reference and wearing the 3X. I paired it with the Ready to Stare Lucy belt peaking out underneath and round shades

3. Classic Dots

This polka dot skirt sold out from Fashionable Addictions plus section so quick but since I have a weakness for a good black and white polka dot print, I had to still include it in my picks. I love that my VBO was proudly on display and the bottom ruffle stepped it up from an everyday pencil skirt. I tried on so many different tops to pair with it but nothing seemed to live up to goodness of this skirt until I tried this halter bikini top from Swimsuitsforall. And combining a bikini top with my favorite print was a winning combination for me.

I hope you enjoyed my favorite spring picks from Fashionable Addictions as much as I enjoyed prancing around Cleveland in them! If you're in Chicago, stop by their Oak Park location or shop online at
