Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk into a store that was set up like your dream closet AND actually be able to fit into everything? It sounds too good to be true but it's real! Gwynnie Bee has brought their online plus size subscription service offline and into a pop up shop right in the heart of New York's Flatiron District.

The store opened in early April and is open daily from 11 AM - 8 PM at 134 Fifth Avenue. The pop up runs through May 29th so if you're in New York or have a trip planned, don't worry - you haven't missed out yet! When I first caught wind of the new Gwynnie Bee Flatiron Pop Up, I was elated to realize that the trip I already had planned to New York coincided with the opening in early April. I made it in town in time to attend the opening event alongside a few of my favorite fellow influencers. Then, I came back the following day to get a more intimate view of the set up, meet with the GB team, take a whole bunch of pics and of course, try on everything!

From the moment you step inside the door, the Gwynnie Bee Flatiron Pop Up is an Instagramable dream. It's covered in hundreds of colorful paper flowers alongside closet-style racks carefully curated with a full size range of items from designers such as Melissa McCarthy Seven7, City Chic and Amanda Uprichard. In fact, there's more than 80 styles from 40 designers. The walls are covered in quotes from GB members and my personal motto: "If you like it, wear it."

The Flatiron Pop Up brings the Gwynnie Bee experience offline in a really magical way. Normally, you closet items online, try them on at home, wear them, and either send them back or buy. This brings the closet experience to life. Rather than picking out items through a computer screen, you get to feel the clothing, try on multiple sizes at the same time and request them in your next box. If you're not already a member, you can sign up right in the store.

I was giddy to try on pieces in store. I really could've filled my dressing room up with enough to try on all afternoon but I settled for about six items and my best friend Kristen did the same. The GB team was attentive and super helpful with styling advice and suggestions.

Kristen and I got to try on the same pieces at the same time and see how they looked on both of us. Since we are both petite plus, it really helped to see the length of items before closeting them.

I had seen this jumpsuit online, fell in love and didn't end up closeting it because I was nervous that it was going to be too long on me to be cropped. The GB Flatiron team convinced me to try it on and I realized that it wasn't too long after all and that I needed to size down to get the perfect fit. I added it to my closet and styled it later on in the month! So cute right?!

I tried on and loved so many pieces and so did Kristen. You'll be seeing some more of those items popping up on my blog soon!

The Gwynnie Bee Flatiron Pop Up has already been hosting badass plus size events over the past month and that trend will continue through May. On Wednesday, May 3 from 6 – 8 PM, fashionistas can head to the pop-up for a meet and greet and Q&A with Plus Size Fashion Designer & Project Runway Winner, Ashley Nell Tipton.

On Saturday May 6, Gwynnie Bee is hosting an album release Mary Lambert for her forthcoming EP "BOLD". Lambert collaborated with Gwynnie Bee to create her signature look for the video, which Mary will talk about and perform a handful of songs. Admission is based on a first come, first serve basis.
