This Valentine's Day, it's not the Kay Jewelers jingle that I can't get out of my head; it's all of the amazing fashion I'm seeing that I can't stop thinking about! From the cutest of casual day looks to the sexiest of evening outfits, I've been dreaming in deep reds, vibrant pinks, and even cheetah print. But being that I am an up-and-coming designer with a limited shopping budget, I just don't have the funds to make these looks go from my head to my closet. So I decided to join forces with my intern Kari, a senior studying Fashion Merchandising at Kent State University. While Kari and I may have similar budgets, we have different body types (she's straight-size, I'm plus) and opposite style inspirations (she's more understated, I'm more over-the-top). But we both had no problem putting together a list of all the lustworthy Valentine's Day looks we'd buy if we could. We figured that since we'll probably be either eating cheese fries at a local bar or working this Valentine's Day, we might as well indulge the fantasy!

Kari's Picks

"Essentially, this is my dream V-day outfit. The "Carissima Sheath" dress from Anthropologie is understated and sexy. It runs from a size 0-12, has 5 stars with 85 reviews, and has not gone on sale in over 1.5 years. If that doesn't tell you how amazing this dress is, try it on for yourself. I decided to pair it with a pair of Christian Louboutin "Hot Chick" pumps, which are a 5 inch skydive into sexy land, and a Ready To Stare chunky gold belt to replace the ribbon belt that comes with the dress. This look totals up to more than $1200, but you'll just look so good in it when you order the Fillet Mignon at Valentine's Day dinner - it's worth it."

"For this second Valentine’s Day look, I decided to go vampy. The ASOS jumpsuit (which comes in UK sizes 18-30, hooray for plus sizes!) is undoubtedly sexy. Paired with the Ready To Stare gold chain headpiece, this look is sure to turn heads during a night out. The “Sin” matte lip color by MAC adds that “IDFWU” attitude to this look that I love, and the Sam Edelman hidden platform “Karmen” booties will be comfortable enough to run around in all night with your friends (or date… if you are into that sort of thing)."

"The product of  “Galentines Day” inspiration, this is the perfect fun and sophisticated outfit to go out with your gals and bask in what successful, independent, and well-dressed women you all are. The structural “Kait” peplum skirt by DemestiksNewYork is a knockout and available in sizes 2-22. The skirt is paired with some textural layered white tops (the American Vintage lace top and the Out from Under Cross-Front Body top, both from Urban Outfitters), Pocahontas-chic Aquazurra sandals, and topped off with a brass cross choker from Ready To Stare.  They will stare."

Alysse's Picks

If you're a plus size woman who shops online, then chances are that you've seen the sexiness that is the "Dahlia dress" from Monif C. I've seen it worn by some of my favorite bloggers including Everything Curvy & Chic and Flight of the Fat Girl. And really, there's not a bad color for it. I personally DIE for the purple. The dress itself has so many built-in details that it makes it difficult to accessorize or over-accessorize as I tend to do. I decided to pair with the Ready to Stare gold chain link earrings and the "OUZEL-MJL" gemstone heels from Jeffrey Campbell and the leave the dress itself to do most of the talking or jaw-dropping for that matter.

Ever since I first saw Nakimuli debut her 2014 Fall Collection, I've been lusting for the Mamboo dress. It's made from a neoprene fabric which gives an extremely structured silhouette. But come Valentine's Day, it was the red "Mambo" skirt that caught my eye because I knew I could pair it with a tee or crop for a signature RTS look. One of my absolute favorite color combinations is red, white, black and gold (the entire Moonchild collection was only these colors) so pairing this skirt with the black and gold "Thick Chick"crop top from Candy Strike, Ready to Stare gold chain anklets and the white Y.R.U "Dream Platform" was an easy choice for me.

Take one look at the Khloe dress from Chubby Cartwheels and you'll see why it won me over immediately! I love the idea of mixing hard and soft so the Ready to Stare thick gold body chain over the lace dress is a pair made in goth heaven. Finish it off with a deep purple lip in the form of "Potion" by Anatasia Beverly Hills, Torrid cheetah print wedges, Domino Dollhouse "Slick Kitty" shades and this look is ALL ME.
