On December 4, I had the lucky opportunity to partner with The Fount Group for the first ever Eleven60 Pop Up Shop Tour! The brand traveled to four cities and my meet & greet was in Chicago which is where I first founded Ready to Stare nearly four years ago. I was happy to have the opportunity to travel back to my city and support Eleven60!

Eleven60 debuted its first collection in June 2015 and has already made huge waves in the plus size industry because of brand's high quality, attention to detail and fashion-forward designs. Founded by Grammy-nominated singer Kierra Sheard, I immediately identified with the passion that was clearly put into each piece. Kierra has always been supportive to me and when we first met at the TCF Style Expo in August, I struck by her positive energy.

The genuine vibe that I first got from Kierra was definitely present at the pop up shop! As soon as I arrived, guests were there and ready to shop. Me and my mom were no exception! My mom quickly gravitated towards the peplum hoodie and that item remained a customer favorite throughout the day.

The first piece I tried on was The Gordon jacket made from 100% vegan leather. As soon as I put it on, I felt like a million bucks. I don't think I've ever worn something as luxe as this jacket. It features a closure in the front and the belt attaches separately which I really liked. It fit perfectly on me which is rare for something fitted since I am 5'1" and a 3X.

This jacket was difficult for me to take off because of how much I love it! I kept it on long enough to get a few shots with the lady of the hour, Kierra! I'm obsessed with her super flare bell bottoms. They are giving me Selena vibes in the very best way possible.

I brough Kierra the Ready to Stare brown speckled cat eye shades and five layer gold chain necklace. She rocked them flawlessly. I was truly humbled by all of the feedback and positive energy that I got from Kierra about Ready to Stare. She shares my view that we need to focus on building community among plus size designers.

I got to meet a lot of amazing individuals at the pop up shop including fellow plus size blogger Hayet Rida. Throughout the event, she tried on so many different Eleven60 pieces and it was cool to see how they worked on both of us who have such different body types. Above she's wearing the K Class dress

Blogger babe Leah V. of Beauty and the Muse  came all the way from Detroit for the pop up shop! She slayed in this faux fur and y'all know I love a jumpsuit!

My last look for the day was the My Fly Distress Jacket. And I felt fly!

So there you have it! It was an amazing opportunity to help bring plus size fashion offline at this event! Thank you again to Kierra, the Eleven60 team and The Fount Group for having me!
